Britney Spears Performs at the Bambi Awards

Britney Spears rocked the stage at the 2008 Bambi Media Awards in Offenburg, Germany on Thanksgiving Thursday while doing a live performance of current hit single “Womanizer”. The 26-year-old pop princess made a true comeback appearance with a special performance that involved a metallic spherical cage. She was also presented with the 2008 Best International Pop Star award. And let me remind you that Britney’s new album, Circus, will be released on her 27th birthday, December 2nd. VIDEO!

Bollywood actor's sister trapped in Mumbai's Oberoi Trident Hotel

Among the many people who are awaiting the release of their family members from the clutches of the terrorists here is Bollywood actor Ashish Chaudhary, whose sister and brother-in-law are held hostage at the Oberoi Trident Hotel.

'My sister Monica and her husband have been inside the hotel along with maybe 40 other hostages. They came here for dinner last night, but now they are not answering any calls,' he told a news channel Thursday.

'My parents have been here since last night and when we last heard from them, they told us that they have seen two terrorists and have heard a lot of gun shots. I didn't come at night fearing there will be panic, but since morning I have been standing here, waiting for them to be released,' he added.

Mumbai saw an audacious terror attack where terrorists went on the rampage, killing at least 101 people and injuring over 250 since Wednesday night. On target were high profile landmarks, including the Taj Mahal Palace and Tower Hotel, Oberoi Trident Hotel, Metro Theatre and the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (formerly Victoria Terminus) railway station.

Ashish, who was recently seen in the film 'EMI', is worried since he is unable to get any information on his sister and her husband's well being. He added though the situation seems calm, 'it must be tough inside'.

Priyanka shines in Dubai

Priyanka Chopra outshone other Hollywood beauties and Bollywood beauties at the red carpet launch of an art Hotel in Dubai.

And a businessman named Richard Branson even branded the Fashion actress as the only woman worthy being called a Goddess.

He said to Priyanka, “You’re the only woman worthy of being called a Goddess. You’re the most beautiful woman in the world.”

When Priyanka was quizzed about the incident she said, “Yes, the incident with Branson really happened. He was just being sweet and chivalrous. I didn’t know how to react. I gathered my wits and said a calm ‘Thank you’.

Priyanka also praised Robert De Niro, saying, “He is De Niro, man! He just kept smiling. His wife spoke more than him. He said he was very happy to meet what he called young talent from Bollywood.”

Well looks like pretty Priyanka is giving pretty tough competition to pretty girls worldwide.

Endhiran in Chennai

It is heard that director Shankar is holding the shooting of Endhiran (also referred to as Enthiran and formerly known as Robot) on East Coast Road. Actually, the Endhiran crew should have been filming a few scenes pertaining to Rajni and Aishwarya Rai in Kulu Manali as per their original schedule, but this change of plan is because Aishwarya Rai is working in Kerala in Mani Ratnam’s Ravana and Ashokavanam.

So Shankar decided that he will go ahead with the portions involving Rajinikanth without waiting for the slender and beautiful Aishwarya Rai. We have to appreciate Shankar’s empathy and patience. He has been making quite a lot of adjustments in Endhiran’s schedule for Aishwarya Rai's sake – he feels grateful to her for agreeing to act in his film despite her preoccupation with Mani Ratnam’s bilingual.

Also, one cannot help marveling at Shankar’s ingenuity and flexibility; if one plan goes down, there is always a plan B or C for him and they have all been very meticulously planned. But the industry is surprised as this could be the first time a Rajinikanth film is facing change of schedule due to a heroine’s non-availability!

Well, there is not much sting in this surprise as the heroine in question is Aishwarya Rai! It is also heard that this stop-gap action will be for two weeks; a considerable portion of the film which involves Rajinikanth will be shot during this period.
