குமுதம் வார இதழின் நிருபர் சந்துரு காலமாகி விட்டார். கடந்த பல வருடங்களாக திரையுலக செய்திகளை எழுதி வரும் இவரது மரணத்தை கேள்வியுற்ற அஜீத், அசோக் நகரில் இருக்கும் சந்துருவின் இல்லத்திற்கு வந்து அஞ்சலி செலுத்தினார். இதுபோன்ற மரணங்கள் நிகழும்போதெல்லாம் முதல் ஆளாக அஞ்சலி செலுத்த சென்று விடும் வழக்கம் உள்ளவர், இறுதி சடங்கிற்கு கஷ்டப்படக் கூடாது என்பதற்காக ஒரு சிறு தொகையை இறந்தவரின் குடும்பத்திற்கு வழங்கிவிட்டு வருவது வழக்கம்.

கனத்த இதயத்தோடும், துளிர்த்த கண்ணீரோடும் அன்றும் அப்படியே நடந்து கொண்டார் தல. இவரது வருகை பற்றி கேள்வியுற்ற அக்கம் பக்கத்து ரசிகர்கள் விழுந்தடித்துக் கொண்டு ஓடிவந்து அஜீத்தின் கைகளை பற்றிக் கொண்டு அன்பை தெரிவிக்க, அத்தனை சோகத்திலும் அவர்களை கோபிக்காமல் கார் ஏறினார் தல. இவரைப்போலவே ஓடோடி வந்த இன்னொரு பிரபலம் பிரகாஷ்ராஜ்.

Yukta Mookhey (Former Miss World) getting married to Prince Tuli

Former Miss World Yukta Mookhey will tie the nuptial knot tomorrow with entrepreneur Prince Tuli here in city, family sources said. "Yukta and Prince got engaged yesterday at a function here during the five-day marriage ceremony starting with the 'Mehndi'," says groom's uncle and Congress leader Mohabbat Singh Tuli.

They were engaged on September 7, 2008 at the ITC Grand Maratha. 33 years old Prince is a New York-based businessman and financial consultant.

After winning Miss World title in 1999, she never made any big news in bollywood . She has been struggling in Bollywood for a long time, seen in B and C grade flicks like ‘Pyaasa’, ‘Memsahib’, ‘Kathputli’ etc. She was unlucky and unsuccessful. While many beauty queens made remarkable presence in industry like Sushmita, Aishwarya etc.

The Tuli family, is engaged in the hotel, transport, automobile and fuel businesses in India and abroad. Prince looks after some of the businesses in Delhi, Singh, who is the Managing Director Hotel Tuli International, added.

The event is likely to be a star-studded affair with those from world of glamour and politics likely to attend the ceremony.

Prince Tuli says that the best thing he likes in Yukta Mukhi is her simplicity and respect of elders, being from a glamorous profession she is still deep rooted to the our culture and tradition.

Full length animated "Chandamama" stories

Technopark-based Toonz Animation and "Chandamama" India Limited will produce a full-length animated feature film based on the Chandamama stories. Toonz would undertake the entire production in its state-of-the-art studio in Technopark and would finance the full production cost which was estimated to be around Rs 20 Crore. Legendary film-makers B Nagi Reddi and his friend Chakrapani had conceptualized Chandamama in early 1947 and the company had been publishing stories in print as well as electronic media in 14 languages. The library of Chandamama has over 15,000 exclusive stories.

"Rahul Bose" Conferred With Eminent Citizen Journalist Award

"Rahul Bose" was conferred with "Eminent Citizen Journalist Award" in New Delhi, last month. Bose was honoured with the award for openly voicing against issues such as terrorism and his active involvement and support for various other social causes.

The entries for the various categories were shortlisted by a group of eminent jury members, including "Kiran Bedi", "Prasoon Joshi", "Madhu Trehan", "Arvind Kejriwal", "Nandita Das", "Neelam Krishnamoorthy" and "Rakeysh Mehra".

The nominees and their works were judged on five parameters: social impact of the story, outcome of the issue raised, efforts put in for the story, nature of work done by the individual prior to the channel stepping in, and last but not least, severity of the odds faced by the citizen journalist in completing the project.

Rare first edition of Playboy magazine, which featured Marilyn Monroe on the cover, has fetched 2,000 pounds at an auction in London. The men's mag went under the hammer
at Bloomsbury Auctions in Central London, reports Times Online.

Monroe was 'Sweetheart of the Month' in Hugh Hefner's magazine in December 1953, which also included a nude photograph of the star. The edition, which initially sold 53,991 copies, was an instant hit. In 1999, Monroe was ranked as the sixth greatest female star of all time by the American Film Institute.
