Germany to honour Meg Ryan with Bambi Lifetime Achievement Award

Hollywood actress Meg Ryan will soon be awarded with Germany’s Bambi Lifetime Achievement award for her sprawling Hollywood career.

Bambi Awards is an annual ceremony for the entertainment industry organised by Germany`s Hubert Burda Media group since 1948.

The ‘When a Man Loves a Woman’ actress has been named the winner of the lifetime achievement for best international actress (08).

The Bambi organizers nominated Meg as the deserving honoree because she "made film history" with her hit movie When Harry Met Sally - branding the actress as the "queen of the romantic comedy".

"Meg Ryan is among the most attractive, talented and successful female stars that Hollywood ever produced,” The Daily Express quoted the spokesman for the event, as saying.

"Her smile is irresistible, her comedic talent delightful and her performance in `When Harry Met Sally` unforgettable,” the spokesman added.
