The award’s function for the year 2008 was organised by the Alandur Fine Arts recently. Sneha was given the best actress award for acting in the film Pirivom Sandipoam. Sneha in a recent interview had said that, “I want to do movies that provide me with opportunities to prove my acting talent. I am confident of winning the National Award soon.”
Parthiban was given the best actor award for the film Vallamai Tharayo. The movie starring Parthiban and Chaya Singh in the lead role, is a tale of human emotions.
Rama Narayanan the president of the Film Producers Council had given away the awards.
