Simbu’s Silambattam To Be Released On December 18th














The much expected movie of Simbu’s Silambattam is all set to hit the screen worldwide on December 18, as the big Christmas release. Lakshmi movie makers, the producers of the film have confirmed this and the movie is currently making some hot trade in the Kollywood market, thanks to the super hit songs which has made the movie this popular.

Most of the theatrical rights of Silambattam have gone for record price for a Simbu film. Coimbatore area alone has gone for a record Rs 1.89 crore, the highest ever paid for a Simbu film.

It will be the first time, that Simbu plays a Hindu priest. It is also being said that Simbu is doing a double role. As a temple priest in the first half and a diametrically opposite character in the second, Silambaattam is expected to showcase Simbu in an entirely different way.

Actually Silambattam was about to release during Diwali, but due to release of Aegan and Seval Silambattam is said to be pulled out of Diwali race. Silambattam audio was released in October 20th and it already topping the music charts. ‘Nallamdhana’ – the remix of the evergreen classic song from the film ‘Thillanamohanambal’, ‘Where is the Party’ a peppy song has become more popular among the young ones.
