Paris Hilton robbed of $2 Million of Jewels

A man wearing a hooded sweatshirt broke into Paris Hilton's home in Sherman Oaks, California, and allegedly made off with millions of dollars worth of her jewels at 5 a.m. on Friday morning.

An estimated $2 million in jewellery was stolen, according to the L.A. Times, citing unnamed detectives who are investigating the burglary.

Police say the thief, who was wearing a hooded top and gloves, broke in through the front door and ransacked the socialite’s bedroom before taking her jewellery.

Paris, 27, was not at home at the time of the robbery and had been photographed the previous night at several LA nightspots.

She had been attending her friend Christina Aguilera's 28th birthday party at LA restaurant Osteria Mozza and was also spotted dancing at Bar Delux in Hollywood along with Katy Perry and gossip blogger Perez Hilton.

Hilton recently talked to Esquire magazine about her home: 'The best thing I've ever bought with money is my house. Having a nightclub in your house really helps for having a party.'

It’s a good thing Paris wasn’t partying at home when the burglar decided to ‘gatecrash’ her pad.
